15 LinkedIn Marketing Tips I Learned Doing Personal Branding for the World's Top CEOs, Speakers, and Authors
Learn personal branding from the best.

I do personal branding for some of the world's top speakers, CEOs, & authors.
Here are 15 of the biggest LinkedIn personal branding tips I've learned working with my clients:
→Optimize Your Profile: Make sure every section of your profile is polished and professional.
→Client-Focused About Section: Your "About" section should address your clients' pain points and how you solve them, not list your expertise.
→Follower Growth ≠ Business Growth: More followers don’t necessarily translate to more sales. You need to have the RIGHT followers.
→Going Viral Risks: Viral posts can attract the wrong audience and skew your follower base and analytics.
→Use the STEP Framework: Follow the STEP framework for posting content each week. This will ensure you're never stuck wondering "what should I post today?!" (DM me and I will share this strategy with you).
→Repurpose Top Content: Squeeze the juice out of your best content.
→Respond to Your DMs: Engage with your DMS; your content is shown to those you interact with in DMs first.
→Engage Daily: Aim to write 20 thoughtful comments on different posts every day.
→Start a LinkedIn Newsletter: Such an easy way to get consistent eyes on your content and create a sales funnel.
→Lean into Storytelling: People resonate with stories, not sales messages.
→Direct Traffic: Have a clear path for people to move from your LinkedIn profile to your website or email list. Use the custom button feature for this.
→Targeted Messaging: Speak directly to your target audience and their pain points.
→Focused Audience: Limit yourself to 1-2 target audiences. Newsflash: Your audience is not everyone.
→Content Types: Your content should be either entertaining, educational, or inspirational.
→Generosity in Content: You can never give away too much valuable content for free.
P.S. What tips would you add to the list?
